The Story & Vibe
Join us for "Whiria te Tangata: Weaving People Together," a delightful evening of creativity and connection on October 15th at Bhakti Lounge in Wellington. Arrive by 5:45 PM to settle in before we kick off at 6 PM! Led by the talented local weaver Haley Te Rire, this putiputi weaving workshop invites you to pause, breathe, and immerse yourself in the art of raranga, or Māori weaving. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, you’ll find a warm, communal atmosphere where you can explore the beauty of weaving as both a craft and a meaningful connection to your heritage. As you create your own putiputi, you’ll carry home not just a beautiful piece but also the intention and love woven into it. Plus, enjoy a delicious plant-based dinner and dessert included with your ticket! Don’t miss this chance to slow down, connect, and honor the stories that bind us together. 🌿
