Threads of a City - Whitworth Art Gallery Stitching Sessions

Join us for the Threads of a City stitching sessions at the Whitworth Art Gallery, where you can be part of a vibrant community project celebrating the heart and soul of Manchester! This exciting initiative invites you to collaborate on 30 large tapestry panels that showcase the rich stories and heritage of Greater Manchester. Whether you're a seasoned stitcher or a complete beginner, you'll find a welcoming space to create. Each workshop provides all the materials and guidance you need, plus plenty of opportunities to practice your stitches. Enjoy hot drinks and biscuits while you work alongside fellow participants, sharing stories and techniques. Sessions are held on Thursdays from 5-8 PM and every other Sunday from 1-4 PM, with more dates coming in January 2027. Just remember to book your spot through Eventbrite, as space is limited!
