The Story & Vibe

Celebrate National Black Poetry Day with us at the American Writers Museum! 🎉 Join a vibrant gathering of Chicago poets as they share readings from their favorite Black poets, all emceed by the talented Faylita Hicks. This is a fantastic opportunity to dive into the rich contributions of Black writers, including special readings by Wesley Frazier Keys, Kenyatta Rogers, Kira Tucker, and Lotus Fulton. Best of all, admission is free! Plus, you’ll have access to all our exhibits, including the thought-provoking "Dark Testament: A Century of Black Writers on Justice." This event is part of the Loop Arts District Festival, so come ready to engage, reflect, and celebrate the power of poetry. Don’t forget to RSVP to secure your spot!
