Seniors Month @ QVMAG 2026: The Elusive Thylacine

Join us at the Queen Victoria Museum in Inveresk for a delightful workshop celebrating one of Tasmania's most fascinating creatures: the thylacine! This relaxed event kicks off in the Tasmanian Connections gallery, where you'll explore the thylacine exhibit and dive into its captivating story. Share your memories and reflections with fellow attendees as you ponder why this iconic animal continues to spark our imaginations. After soaking in the exhibit, unleash your creativity in a hands-on clay workshop at the Learning Centre. Inspired by the thylacine and the stories shared, you'll craft your own small clay thylacine figure to take home. No prior art or clay experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a story or memory if you have one! This workshop is part of the Seniors Month celebrations, and it's a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded locals in a friendly atmosphere. All materials are provided, and the cost is just $10 for seniors with a valid Seniors Card. Come join the fun!
