The Story & Vibe
Join us for the Day of the Imprisoned Writer, a powerful event presented by Irish PEN/PEN na hÉireann, featuring the renowned human rights lawyer, Caoilfhionn Gallagher KC. She’ll dive into pressing issues surrounding censorship, from the challenges faced by Hong Kong booksellers to the restrictions on LGBTQ+ literature in U.S. libraries, and even the Israeli police raids on Palestinian bookshops. This is your chance to learn how we can stand up against these injustices together. Taking place at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, this event is free to attend. If you’d like to support future events and help keep them accessible, consider purchasing a 'Supporter’s Ticket.' Expect an engaging discussion that not only informs but inspires action in the fight for freedom of expression. Don’t miss out! 📚
