Lezingreeks Al Andalus

Join us for the Lezingreeks Al Andalus, a captivating exploration of a lesser-known chapter in European history that continues to inspire today! This autumn, we're diving into four engaging lectures that will take you through the rich history, music, literature, and architecture of Al Andalus. Kicking off on September 10th, Mohamed Aadroun, the Creative Director of the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra, will guide us through 800 years of history. Discover why this fascinating era still resonates with so many and how it challenges our modern understanding of Europe. Each lecture is a standalone experience, so feel free to join us for one or all four sessions. Can't make it to every talk? No worries—each one is worth your time! Plus, admission is donation-based, so you can pay what you can. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with history in a vibrant community atmosphere at Maqam in Amsterdam!
